In 1990, James Ulm was riding as a passenger in a Ford Bronco when it suddenly went out of control, struck a tree, and overturned several times, leaving him paralyzed.
The case proceeded to trial in 1997. We presented a common sense, simplified case, while calling experts in the fields of engineering, accident reconstruction, economics, and physical disabilities. The jury returned a $1.25 million verdict; one of the largest ever upheld on appeal to the Vermont Supreme Court.
